Tori & Jacob: Absolutely recommend it, we were lucky enough to have the lake to ourselves and the accommodation at this time of year was better value too.

Nicola, the photographer: September and early October are equally magical, with golden tones and quieter trails after the summer crowds have gone. The lake sits beneath tall pines, so light filters through softly — creating reflections and colours that feel almost unreal. Morning sessions are calm and serene, perfect if you want privacy, while evenings bring warmth and a romantic glow.

This alpine lake is part of a protected natural area. Keep it pristine by avoiding confetti, loud music, or large setups. The beauty here doesn’t need much decoration — nature does it all for you.
