Tips for Choosing Your Dolomites Wedding Venue

There are many factors to consider when choosing the right venue for your wedding in the Dolomites, such as:

1. Exclusive Use or Shared – Are you looking to fully book out a venue for exclusive private use (most expensive option), or are you happy to just have a section of it reserved and the rest open to the public (more budget-friendly option)? Especially for smaller wedding celebrations, many larger mountain huts, hotels, and restaurants won’t offer full exclusive use.
   
2. Accommodation Onsite – Some venues offer accommodation onsite, either for just the couple or, in some cases, for the entire group, while others do not have any accommodation, meaning that you’ll also need to factor in the costs and logistics of transport to/from the venue.
   
3. Civil Ceremony Option – Some of the venues listed above are approved for civil ceremonies, while others are not. If you’re having a symbolic ceremony, your options open up.
   
4. Location & Accessibility – While a mountain hut might be the perfect venue for some, it’s important to consider the ease of access for you and your guests. Venues that can only be accessed by ski lift or private shuttles can limit how easily your guests can come and go, and may have additional costs for after-hours transfers.
