The aim of this inspiration shoot was to enjoy the city to the fullest, including shots in the Galleries Lafayette and at the Eiffel Tower.
Paris being the city of light and love, is a wonderful destination for couples wanting to elope or have an extravagant destination wedding. The city has so much to offer, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Plus enjoying the French way of life with a stop at a café or bistro.

What was the inspiration behind this styled shoot in Paris?
Cécile, the photographer: Paris, the city of love, city of light has so much to offer! From its grandiose architecture, to worldwide known monuments, the idea was to present what a stroll through Paris could look like for couples wishing to have their wedding pictures taken in Paris.
What do you love about Paris?
Cécile: Paris has so much to offer! From renown and picturesque architecture, to gastronomy, world event, it is hard not to fall in love with Paris.
What are your top tips for planning an elopement or photo session in Paris?
Cécile: Pick your spots! Paris has so much to offer, it is easy to get overwhelmed! Take into consideration as well that going around Paris is quite time-consuming so it is best to pick a selected spots and enjoy, instead of running from one place to the other. Your feet will thank you!
When is the best time of year to visit Paris?
Cécile: With around 50 million tourists visiting Paris each year, it is best to avoid peak tourist seasons, or be ready to shoot at sunrise or very late in the night.
Do you need any permits or special permissions to photograph around Paris?
Cécile: To shoot inside monuments, you will need the authorization of the manager. Entrust your planner or photographer to guide you through and communicate with the team of the locations, or to find you hidden gems.
What advice would you give to others planning a destination wedding or elopement in Paris?
Cécile: Enjoy the city of love! From the busy metro, to the quaint café and floral terrace, or the beautiful architecture, the city has much to offer, so make it your own!
