Meet Ellen

Tell us your story

I was born, raised, and am still very proudly rooted in the Dolomites. I’m a Ladin local, a cat mom, a tiny bit goth at heart, and a photographer for people who want their day to feel intimate, fun, and out of the ordinary.

I love going creative and thinking outside the box. I’m passionate about creating meaningful experiences, finding quiet corners away from the crowds, and giving my clients access to the insider world of the mountains — the places and the culture you won’t find in travel guides.

I’m all about fun, custom ideas and planning that goes far beyond choosing a pretty viewpoint for nice photos.

How long have you been working in the wedding industry?

I started my photography business in 2017, but I had already been testing the ground in the wedding industry before that. I made my first experiences as a wedding photographer when I was just 18 years old.

When I first started my business, I was also deeply obsessed with fantasy photography.

What made you get into weddings & elopements?

After photographing a few weddings, I realized that I didn’t enjoy all the “traditional wedding boxes.” Being around so many people for a full day also made me feel very tired.

Everything changed after my first elopement, which was an elopement on skis. I was genuinely surprised by how exciting this type of photography and service felt to me. I came back from work feeling recharged and full of positive energy, instead of worn out. That was a big turning point.

What do you love about intimate weddings and elopements?

I love being able to truly contribute with my own ideas and local expertise to make someone’s wedding really special. I also enjoy being around a small group — or just the clients — observing their happiness and soaking in the amazing vibes.

The intimacy and the epic photos are such a reward and a true win-win for everyone involved. This energy allows me to give my clients the best service I possibly can.

The ceremony is often the most emotionally intense moment, and I love seeing how clients slowly relax, feel more comfortable, and fully sink into the experience afterwards.

How would you describe your approach to your work?

My approach is very experience-focused. And I really love having fun and making jokes most of the time. I also know when to step back and leave space for my clients to fully enjoy what they’re doing.

This balance allows for photos that are both intimate and romantic, but also playful and dynamic. Humour is a big part of the way I work — no joke is held back, and I always match my clients’ energy. I genuinely love doing that.

What’s your favourite part of a wedding day?

It really depends, because every client is different and has their own highlights. As a photographer, I especially love the photoshoot or activity we plan after the ceremony.

The ceremony is often the most emotionally intense moment, and I love seeing how clients slowly relax, feel more comfortable, and fully sink into the experience afterwards.

Hiring people who can truly support you, share local insights, secret spots, and creative ideas will make a huge difference and help you create something you wouldn’t have discovered on your own..

What advice would you give couples who are in the process of planning a wedding or elopement?

Get help — ideally from someone local — and let creativity take over.

When you’re planning an elopement somewhere you’ve never been, you don’t know what you don’t know. Hiring people who can truly support you, share local insights, secret spots, and creative ideas will make a huge difference and help you create something you wouldn’t have discovered on your own.

When you’re not at a wedding, what do you love doing?

I love being outdoors in a slow way — going on walks alone or with good friends, brainstorming new ideas and projects. In winter, I love skiing (fast ⚡😂).While I adore nature, my heart also beats for theatre. I love everything about it: stages, costumes, makeup, storytelling, and creating together. In my free time, I’m also a theatre play director and love acting. And there’s a big chance you’ll find me at theme parks — I love everything that transports people into a different dimension.

Do you have a dream wedding or elopement you’d love to do?

Fantasy elopements. I love everything fantasy, goth, and dark — but also fairytale-like and anything that doesn’t feel like it belongs to this world. I see the mountains through the eyes of a fantasy enthusiast, so anything in that direction instantly makes my heart skip a beat.
