Tell us your story
Who you are, where you’re from, your passions and interests, etc…
We’re Katja & Walter, husband and wife and a Photographer and Videographer Duo based out of Austria, capturing Elopements and Intimate Weddings all over Austria, Italy and beyond. We’re located in Graz, which is the perfect location for us because we are able to travel quickly to the Dolomites and the rest of Europe. We got to know each other at our past work 8 years ago, at a radio station where Walter was working as a journalist and Katja was working in Marketing. We’ve been a couple for 6 years now, dog parents of our crazy, cuddle addicted Hungarian shepherd dog Manka and have been married since 2024.
We love capturing authentic & personal weddings and elopements. And, we are more than just a photo- and video team. We are here for our couples in every possible way. We know that planning an elopement can be overwhelming. We help them plan and outline their Elopement Experience in their personal way and style. We help with finding vendors that fit their lifestyle and most of all, we listen to their dreams and make them come true. Last but definitely not least, of course, we’ll capture all the big and small moments of the elopement or intimate wedding just like they happened so that all the precious memories are always just one click away.

How long have you been working in the wedding industry?
In 2025, we are entering our fourth year in the wedding industry, although our passion for photography and videography has been a part of our lives for as long as we can remember, and every project fuels our creativity and love for storytelling even more.
Katja’s Journey:
My love for photography began at an early age when my older sister inspired me to explore the art behind the lens. I even attended a specialized photography school in Austria to deepen my understanding of the craft. After a few years working in event management, I returned to what truly makes my heart sing—capturing the beauty of the world. Whether it’s the laughter of a couple, a breathtaking sunset, or candid moments with family and friends, I feel completely in my element as soon as I hold my camera.
Walter’s Story:
My journey in media started eight years ago, and along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to learn, explore, and create across various forms of storytelling. I’ve always been the one capturing every holiday—whether it’s with my camera or phone—to preserve those fleeting moments in the form of a video. For me, the magic of film lies in its ability to let us relive the love, excitement, and anticipation of a day, time and time again.
What made you get into weddings & elopements?
Our entry into the world of weddings and elopements was as organic as it was exciting. Initially, friends started asking us to capture their special days—and what began as a thrilling challenge quickly evolved into a full-blown passion. In the beginning, we photographed many traditional weddings, but we soon discovered that our hearts truly resonated with the intimacy and authenticity of elopements and small weddings.
We were inspired by amazing elopement photographers like Maddie Mae from Adventure Instead and Henry Tieu. Their work opened our eyes to a whole new way of thinking about weddings—one where the couple’s experience and genuine moments take center stage. It’s about the joy of exploring the world together, doing what they love, and celebrating that unique connection without all the extra noise of tradition. For us, it’s the perfect blend of travel, adventure, and storytelling. And this is also a world, where we as creatives can express our full potential. Where we can document a love story and create a completely unique experience for our couples. One that they will forever cherish.
What do you love about intimate weddings and elopements?
From the bottom of our hearts we are convinced that love is the purest feeling and that love simply is the cure. And that’s the whole point of weddings & elopements, celebrating this feeling, this love between two people. It’s in these quieter moments, away from the hustle and bustle, that every smile, every tear, and every shared glance feels incredibly personal. There’s no need for big productions or elaborate setups; it’s just about the raw, unscripted moments that tell your unique love story. And honestly, that’s what makes our work so special. We get to be part of these deeply personal and unforgettable moments, capturing every genuine laugh, every soft look, and all the little details that make your day uniquely yours.

How would you describe your approach to your work?
Our approach is all about capturing the real, raw magic of the elopement day by creating an environment where our couples can just be themselves—completely at ease and free from the pressures of “posing” or performing for the camera. We believe that the most beautiful images and films come from moments when you’re simply living your story. To us, it’s not about orchestrating picture-perfect scenes; it’s about fostering a genuine connection long before the big day so that when it arrives, everything feels natural, spontaneous, and utterly personal. Of course, our creative ideas and gentle guidance are always there to help our couples feel confident and comfortable—but never in a way that overshadows the natural flow of the celebration. We simply serve as unobtrusive storytellers, making sure that every laugh, every tear, and every smile is remembered exactly as it happened.
From the very beginning, we take the time to get to know you—not just as a couple, but as individuals with unique passions and stories. Whether it’s during our initial chats or while planning the details together, we’re all about building trust and comfort. We want our couples to feel like they’re talking to a friend who’s just as excited about their love story as they are. And this of course also includes chatting with them out of our office hours about their Pinterest inspiration or sending Instagram reels. This connection is the cornerstone of our work because it allows us to capture those moments of laughter, the quiet glances, the tears of joy, and all the little details that make your day uniquely yours.
Instead of getting caught up in trends or expectations, focus on what makes you happy and what feels authentic to your relationship
One of the things that truly sets us apart is that we’re a combined photo and video team. You might ask, “Why do I need both?” The answer is simple: while photos capture beautiful still moments, videos allow us to tell the full story—the sounds of your laughter, the whispers of your vows, the ambient music of nature or a bustling city, and the movement of your day unfolding. It’s like having your own personal movie, where you can feel every emotion, re-live every cherished moment, and see yourself not as a posed subject, but as the real, vibrant person you are.
At the heart of our approach is a belief in authenticity and exceptional experiences. We’re always seeking out those once-in-a-lifetime moments—both in our personal lives and in our work—because we know that these are the memories that stay with us forever. We see our role not just as photographers and videographers, but as partners in crafting an experience that feels deeply personal and infinitely memorable. We’re here to celebrate love, to capture the genuine connection between you and your partner, and to create art that tells your unique love story in a way that feels both cinematic and true to life.

What’s your favourite part of a wedding day?
Katja:
I absolutely love that “first look” moment—whether the instant when you see each other, or when you stand in your chosen elopement location surrounded by beauty and suddenly realize, “This is it; the day has finally come!” It’s such a thrilling, electric moment—a mix of excitement, relief, and pure joy. You’re taking everything in, realizing that you did it. You took this bold, incredible, thrilling step to get married on your terms. And now, you’re standing on the edge of forever, ready to marry your best friend, and that feeling is something I never get tired of capturing.
Walter:
For me, it’s all about those personal touches that make your day uniquely yours. Maybe you both love to picnic, paint, or piece together a puzzle, or even have a spontaneous dance battle. I love capturing every detail—from your handwritten vows to that iconic dance move or cultural rituals that reflect your unique bond. Whatever it is that makes you you — bring that to your elopement day. We love weaving all those unique details and stories into the day, making it feel like your version of perfect. And by perfect, we don’t mean the flawless, picture-perfect moments you see online. It’s about the kind of perfect that feels right for them—full of love, meaning, and authenticity. That’s what makes it so magical.
Beyond the day itself, we really treasure the relationships we build with each couple. Getting to know your love story, your quirks, and the way you see the world makes every wedding or elopement feel like a personal adventure we’re honored to be a part of.

What advice would you give couples who are in the process of planning a wedding or elopement?
With so much inspiration (and sometimes pressure) from Instagram, Pinterest, and everywhere in between, it can be easy to lose sight of what truly matters—celebrating your love in a way that feels right for you. So, our advice is simple: Listen to your gut-feeling! When no one is telling you what to do, when you are not scrolling through social media, how and where do you want to celebrate and confess your love to your partner?
Remember, this day is all about you. Instead of getting caught up in trends or expectations, focus on what makes you happy and what feels authentic to your relationship. Trust your instincts and don’t be afraid to break away from the norm if it means creating something uniquely personal. And if planning starts to feel overwhelming, lean on professionals who understand your vision and can help guide you through the process. At the end of the day, your wedding or elopement is a celebration of your unique love story—so let your heart lead the way and enjoy every moment of the journey.
When you’re not at a wedding, what do you love doing?
When we’re not capturing love stories, you can usually find us embracing our own adventures and living life to the fullest. We love spending time with our dog, Manka, who’s always up for a little extra fun and mischief.
Of course, we like to stay at home and relax with a good book, but we are also out and about a lot, whether that’s on the road in our self-converted van or hopping on a plane to explore a new city, discovering a new favorite food spot, hiking up scenic mountain trails, or just chilling on a sunny beach, we’re constantly seeking out the moments that make life so enjoyable. We’re passionate adventure and experience advocates, not just in our work but in our personal lives. Every new place we visit adds a little extra inspiration to our creativity, and we love sharing those moments of exploration and joy.
Do you have a dream wedding or elopement you’d love to do?
Oh absolutely! We would love to go somewhere tropical and plan a beach elopement for example on Hawaii, wouldn’t that be dreamy? Hiking to a sunrise spot for a golden hour ceremony overlooking the island, getting back to the couple’s AirBnB for a chill breakfast picnic in pjs, to then stroll through a town to have a fresh coconut or ice cream (or both?) and end the day with a romantic dinner on the beach before jumping into the sea together. And the European version of that would be Sardegna, Mallorca or Madeira! We’re definitely in!
