Lauren & Jake: We decided on Portugal and then began searching for the perfect venue — all remotely. Once we found our venue, we began the
search for music and photography, but our wedding planner was imperative. Our planner, Paulo, brought our vision to life in the most beautiful way! We wanted a space large enough to accommodate our guests, but somewhere that still felt intimate. Solar De Pancas perfectly struck that balance. It is a stunning, historic manor that boasts romance. It was also important for us to have our reception in space that felt indoor/outdoor and the tent that is attached to the manor is perfect for that.

What Are the Best Tips for Planning a Destination Wedding in Lisbon?
Lauren & Jake: For us, we wanted it the wedding to look beautiful, but the vibe and food/beverage were equally as important. This meant
allocating a majority of our budget towards food, drinks, and music.
How Did the Couple Personalize Their Wedding at Solar de Pancas in Lisbon?
Lauren & Jake: We have a dog, Deli, who we sadly couldn’t fly to Portugal with us, but it was important to feel her presence on our special day, so
we bought custom dog head cutouts that we glued to sticks and had ready for people to use on the dance floor!
What Advice Would the Couple Give to Others Planning a Wedding in Portugal?
Lauren & Jake: I wouldn’t have done anything different! I would say enjoy your day to the fullest. Know your non-negotiables and stick to them in
planning, and GET A WEDDING PLANNER (if you can).

surrounded by all of our loved ones.
