Remote Digital Content Assistant

Job Description 

As remote digital content assistant, you will assist with creating the digital marketing content for the European Elopement Guide. This includes helping with a cross-platform strategy for all of our target platforms, creating on-brand content on social media and the blog, and networking as the European Elopement Guide.

Even though you will be remote, you will be a key member of the European Elopement Guide team, helping to increase brand awareness and visibility of European Elopement Guide.

The main duties of the role will involve:

  • Managing submissions and creating blog posts
  • Social media scheduling and interaction (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest)
  • Setting up new vendor profiles 
  • Digital networking
  • Identifying areas for growth 
  • Monthly reporting & growth tracking

About the Blog

European Elopement Guide is a wedding & lifestyle blog that showcases real elopements and micro-weddings from around Europe. It also aims to provide couples with planning resources written by LOCAL EXPERTS in different regions around Europe, so that couples can easily find local suppliers.

The blog’s core values are:

  • Sustainability – supporting local vendors and promoting sustainable choices when planning an elopement in Europe
  • Diversity – we feature all kinds of love

Who I’m looking for 

I’m looking for someone to join the EEG team with me who believes in creating a more sustainable wedding industry. Because the blog focuses on the European market, I’m looking for someone based in Europe, with knowledge of the wedding industry. 

I want to know that you will come into this role giving 100% and even though you will be working freelance, you will want be on this journey with me for a while to come. I need someone who uses their initiative and is always thinking “what else is there to do – how else can we grow and reach our target audience?”

You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (native speaker), and have experience with working with some, if not all, of the below: 

  • WordPress 
  • Posting, scheduling and interacting on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest 
  • Google Drive, Docs & Sheets
  • Canva
  • SEO best practices & keyword research skills (SEO training can be given)
  • Writing copy for blog posts
  • Selecting & resizing images for publication

Knowledge of Google/SEO, blogging and social media advertising and the wedding/elopement industry would be an advantage however you will receive training in all the software and processes that I currently use.

Job Details 

Job Type: Freelance (5 hours a week)

Pay: €15 an hour
