This Elopement in the Italian Dolomites is about two best friends – once coworkers, now soulmates – and they choose the Italian Alps to celebrate their love. It was simple yet deeply meaningful, magical, and entirely their own. They explored two quiet lakes in the Dolomites, exchanged vows at sunset, and let the mountains be their witness.
No big poses. No rush. Just their laughter, shared glances, and the kind of love that doesn’t need to shout to be heard. Beauty in the quiet and intimacy in the stillness.

How did the couple meet?
Dane and Kaylyn met in college while working at the same bar. Both introverted and a little shy, their connection grew naturally—first through friendship, then love. They fell for each other in quiet moments: Dane realizing Kaylyn was more than kind and trustworthy, and Kaylyn realizing he was the person she wanted to tell everything to. Over time, it became impossible to imagine a future apart.
Tell us a bit more about them
As a couple, they describe themselves as best friends who balance each other perfectly. They love laughing together, supporting one another, and enjoying simple days—whether that’s breakfast at home, a trip to the farmers market, or relaxing with books and video games. Adventures like skiing in Colorado and exploring state parks hold special memories, but their favorite moments are often the small, everyday ones.
Their style and interests differ yet complement each other: Dane with a 90s casual vibe, into sports, film, and gaming; Kaylyn with a minimalist style, drawn to reading, crafting, history, and politics. Friends describe them as a couple that “just works.” Their love languages—touch, words, quality time, and acts of service—show in how they care for each other.

What was their vision for their elopement day in The Dolomites?
For their photos, they envisioned something elegant yet relaxed, candid, and intimate. They want the day to feel cozy, romantic, and personal: just the two of them, without crowds or fuss. A lake and the surrounding Dolomites are their dream backdrop, with plans to exchange vows, wander the trails. We did sunset at two lakes in the Tre Cime NP.
What excites them most is having beautiful photos to finally capture their relationship—authentic, intimate, and full of warmth—so they can look back and remember not just how it looked.
