When you have a traditional wedding in Singapore but go on honeymoon to Scotland and really would like traditional dress photos in the beautiful scenery. The perfect reason to bring your wedding outfits with you and book a honeymoon photo session! The beautiful Isle of Skye never disappoints when it comes to stunning backdrops and this session is no exception.
How did you choose the location?
Rosemary, the photographer: I discussed with the couple their preferences and we choose a quiet area of Skye with historical context and beautiful views. The ruined castle keep dates from 900s and there are spectacular views to the Cuillin Mountains.
Do you require any special permits or permission from landowners to take photos here?
Rosemary, the photographer: None are required but you should respect the grazing land and livestock in the areas around the castle.

How easy is the location to access? Is it suitable for all ages and abilities?
Rosemary: The location is around 15 minutes walk from a small side road and requires determination to walk through boggy ground in waterproof boots. There are steep cliffs making it unsuitable for young children.
Why should couples consider having a photoshoot in this location/area?
Rosemary: It is stunningly scenic and the romance of a ruined castle is irresistable. It is in a lesser visited area of Skye making it perfect for quiet moments.
What are your top tips for planning a shoot in this area?
Rosemary: Be prepared for all types of weather and wear waterproof footwear! The light at different times of day really creates a different feel to the images – consult your photographer!
Is there a best time of year to visit this location?
Rosemary: It is beautiful in both Summer or Winter – the early summer is particularly beautiful.
Any other advice or tips you would like to share based on your experience?
Rosemary: As with all locations on Skye local knowledge is really valuable to accessing this site at the best times. IT’s a great place to enjoy a clifftop picnic among outstanding scenery.
