In the heart of the Veneto countryside, surrounded by vineyards and the soft golden light of late morning, he got down on one knee…
At Tenuta Santomè, a stunning winery near Treviso, he surprised her with a beautiful marriage proposal under an especially decorated gazebo, styled with rustic charm and lavender-hued florals by the talented team at Daisy Studio.

The moment was intimate and emotional: nature, love, and elegance blended perfectly in the warm countryside atmosphere. They wandered through the vineyard rows, capturing their quiet joy among the wine barrels and sealed the memory with a toast of sparkling prosecco.

How did you choose the location?

Serena, the photographer: The couple chose this location because they were staying at the property and immediately felt connected to its intimate and unique atmosphere. Santomè Winery offered them something different, quiet, romantic, and deeply personal, so it became the perfect setting for their proposal.

Do you require any special permits or permission from landowners to take photos here?

Serena: Yes. Since it’s a private venue, you must request permission to organize a proposal on-site. The winery charges a location fee, and all arrangements need to be coordinated with the property in advance.

How easy is the location to access? Is it suitable for all ages and abilities?

Serena: Absolutely. It’s a modern and beautifully maintained location, very easy to reach by car and conveniently close to the highway exit. It’s fully accessible and suitable for guests of all ages and abilities.

How did you approach capturing photos of the proposal while keeping it a surprise?

Serena: I coordinated everything with the owner. Before the proposal, I sat on a bench with him, pretending to be casually chatting right in front of the spot where the groom would kneel, outside the flower-decorated gazebo. The couple was enjoying a wine tasting, and the last tasting was intentionally planned to bring them to the exact place at the perfect moment. As soon as he arrived and prepared to propose, I quietly moved closer and began photographing the entire scene without interrupting the surprise.

Were there any other people involved in planning the proposal?

Serena: Yes. I organized the entire setup with the support of the florist and the winery owner, who both helped create a seamless and beautiful moment.

What are your top tips for planning a proposal in this area?

Serena: I highly recommend working with a local professional who knows the venue and can help create the best experience possible. Another useful tip is to rent a car, this makes reaching the location simple and stress-free.

Is there a best time of year to visit this location?

Serena: Spring, summer, and autumn are the most beautiful seasons to experience this area. The scenery, colors, and light are all stunning during these months.

Any other advice or tips based on your experience?

Serena: Simply have fun and enjoy every moment of the experience. Let the setting, the emotions, and the surprise unfold naturally.
