Why did you choose this location to propose and was it a surprise?
Stephen: this location was quiet with unique light at sunrise. Yes, it was a surprise!
What were the biggest challenges you faced planning a proposal abroad?
Stephen: No challenges! Liz helped me to manage everything, from musician to the taxi ride agency.

What advice would you give to others thinking of planning a proposal in this location?
Stephen: Hire a local planner or photographer in order to have the best service possible.
Who chose the location and do you require any permits?
Carlo, the photographer: We helped Stephen find the perfect location with less people around. No special permits are required, apart from the standard professional permits to work in Italy.
How did you approach capturing photos of the proposal and still keeping it a surprise? Were there any other people involved in planning the proposal?
Carlo, the photographer: In this case, we positioned the violinist and pretended to do a photoshoot of her. Only we were involved in the planning.
What are your Top Tips for Planning A proposal in this location?
Carlo, the photographer: It’s best to avoid peak hours because the light is too harsh and crowds tend to gather near the edge of the lagoon. The location can be used year-round.
