Anna’s French heritage led them on a quest throughout the country to discover the ideal location for their wedding. After discovering the Chateau de Brametourte in the south of France, they knew their search was over. The couple was captivated by the chateau’s magnificent period characteristics and breathtaking gardens, and it was the perfect size to provide lodging for their entire wedding party.
Château de Brametourte is an 11th-century chateau, jsut 1 hour from Toulouse, situated close to 3 UNESCO World Heritage sites and one of France’s designated ‘prettiest villages’ – Lautrec.
The couple opted for a private wedding ceremony at the Chateau, surrounded by their nearest family members, including two four-legged companions who traveled from both the UK and Australia to attend.
The couple’s wedding ceremony was conducted outdoors amidst the magnificent gardens of the chateau, followed by a celebratory toast and appetizers on the terrace. For their wedding breakfast, they utilized the Grand Pavilion, which, with its open sides, created a luxurious dining experience under the stars. Anna and Alex chose to keep the decoration minimal since the chateau and its environs provided a breathtakingly beautiful setting that needed no additional embellishments.
Anna and Alex decided on a rustic theme for their wedding reception, using hessian table runners, locally-sourced sunflowers and lavender from the gardens, and numerous twinkling tea lights that added to the ambiance once the sun had set. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, they selected a croquembouche tower made by a local patisserie that perfectly suited the day’s vibe.
