Having your proposal photographed, we are definitely a fan! Alina and Francesco, who is originally from Italy, met in Germany. They decided to move to Sicily to run an old farm with lemon and olive trees.
It sounds so idyllic!
how was the location chosen?
The couple live on Sicily in Tre Fontane and the photographers decided to pick a spot that was about half way between where they were staying and where the couple’s farm is.
They decided on the beautiful town Mazara del Vallo and immediately fell in love with the location and the delightful people.
It’s very easy to access and there are plenty of parking opportunities as well.
Even in January, when this session took place, the weather was wonderful with a nice 20 degrees Celsius.
Situated on the western coast of the island, Mazara del Vallo is known for its rich history, diverse culture, and beautiful seaside setting.
One of the most distinctive features of Mazara del Vallo is its multicultural heritage, which is reflected in its architecture, cuisine, and traditions. The town has been influenced by various civilizations throughout its history, including the Phoenicians, Greeks, Arabs, Normans, and Spanish, among others. This unique blend of influences can be seen in the town’s historic center, where narrow winding streets lead to ancient churches, mosques, and palaces.
how did the Proposal unfold?
The photo session started by taking a nice stroll around the picturesque town with plenty of beautiful backdrops for photos. Alina was fully under the impression that it was just a “regular” couple shoot but Francesco had other plans!
He had prepared a beautiful picnic setup on the beach and took a ring out of his chest pocket. Alina was completely overwhelmed and happily accepted. A regular couple session turned into an official engagement session, just like that!
Having your proposal professionally photographed is definitely wonderful! When you plan to do it during a regular photo session, always be sure to inform your photographer so that they are aware of what will unfold.
